Deonn v.3.0

It's graduation month and my Deonn has graduated from GWU.  Yay, i'm so excited and proud of him.  It's quite a milestone for him to finish school and accomplish everything else in life at the same.  The celebration went on for that whole weekend.  We celebrated at Lincoln restaurant with his family.  Then the next day was at Redline with all his friends.  Although all parties were not at home, i was still exhausted from being up and running around to make sure we got everything.  I got Georgetown cupcakes, which was more of an economical choice instead of a trendy choice.  Everyone seems to love Georgetown but i'm just having so so feeling about that place. I think my sister's cupcakes are much better.  (Well, when she was still baking)
On graduation day, we went to the reception at the school before the ceremony at night. I thought it was kind of nice, a bit more formal than the reception i had at JHU a few years ago.  Due to being hugely pregnant, i didn't do much of pictures taking, i guess Deonn lucked out this time.  While he was in line to go to the auditorium, i ran into Rodney, we used to work together at SAIC.  Ha, i completely forgot that he was in the same class with Deonn.  Rodney was probably shocked to see me pregnant, my joke was that i just gained lots of weight over night.    I dont know if pregnancy agrees with me, why is my face so rounded? I look at all the pictures and  my bony face is long gone and i dont think i like this new rounded look.

I've been feeling a bit down in the past few weeks regarding my look.  Deonn was a little concerned so he's been very supportive and telling me that i look great being pregnant.  (Not sure if i should believe him).  But since there's not much that i can do, i decided to put some more effort in the morning when getting ready for work.  The biggest thing is trying to put some make up on and doing my hair.  I used to skip all those steps, hence, looked like crap.

Our new thing these days is to do power walk couple days a week.  It's supposed to be good for me and of course, Deonn could use the walk too.  But i think it's also a chance for us to spend time together without doing the mundane things like chores around the house or typical date nite activities.   Last night, we walked to Pentagon Row and had dinner at Lebanese Taverna.  Honestly, i only like the bread at that place, but we got some good dishes last night. The chicken and tabbouleh were really banging. Too bad i'm on a low carbs diet for now so Deonn didn't let me eat all the bread.  I could have finished that whole basket.

Yesterday was also my 26 weeks doctor visit.  The baby measured at perfect weight.  Nothing much to update here.  We will have to sign up for the birthing class and also do the tour of the hospital.  The new doctor is really nice, i wonder if we'll luck out and have her deliver our baby instead of someone i haven't met.
I've been trying really hard to eat well, aka, healthy.  Gosh, Brussels sprouts and broccoli don't taste good at all, doesn't matter how you cook it.  Although i know eating those couple times a week is not good enough, i'm just hoping to introduce the taste to the baby so she won't barf when i actually feed that stuff to her later on.  Beside that, i've developed a sweet tooth. I bought a box of Godiva biscuit and finished that whole thing in a day or so.  Gross or what? But it was so yummy!!!
Let's do a face-off here: Chocolate vs. Brussel Sprout (not the same category but you get the gist of it)
