Here comes another delayed milestone month post. After London turns ONE, i seem to be less on track with the month counting. Not sure why, sometimes i get confused with whether shes 13 or 14 or 15 months until i do the actual counting.
At 14 months, London's fascination with how things work probably means that she's grasping and manipulating things, improving her
fine motor skills. Her latest things include trying to screw the lid on
and then off again of anything that requires a lid, she even tries to twist things open. Opening and closing cabinet doors will also bring
endless enjoyment for her, but not for us. She would take out everything she can find in a cabinet and eventually put them back. We finally put the safety latches on all the cabinets within her reach. She shows frustrations when they no longer swing open for her. I smile satisfyingly each time. :)

London has a 4 teeth on top, 4 on bottom. Just 2 weeks ago, 4 more sprouted. These are the real ones in the back where she can grind. They come up in 4 corners so perfect. It's still amazing that the teething process didn't bother her or effect her at all. We are very thankful for that. I'm always worried that there would be some fevers that come along with teething.
London is not much of a biter but she does bite occasionally. Mostly when she is excited and just want to show her excitement or affection. She usually aims for your thighs. I guess that's accessible for her and plenty of meat. It hurts very much even though her teeth are tiny. We usually tell her that it's wrong to bite and she can show her excitement or affection by clapping her hands or kissing us (instead of biting). There is a whole regulation at her school for biting incidents (very common at this age group). Where if your child is either a biter or victim and how to go about things. I'm kind of glad that she's not an extreme case (either case).

London is very friendly and affectionate towards people that she know (family, friends, and teachers at school, even to some of her friends' parents). However, she's shy when we are out in public or a surrounding that she's not comfortable with. We went to Adalaide's 2 years birthday party a few weeks ago and while all the kids (her age or a bit older) were excite to jump and play everywhere, London just clung to my feet. It was at a soft play room where kids can just jump and play around. We went back there yesterday for another playdate and London was still not feeling it. I'm not sure what to make of it.
Some milestones to notice this month: London can now identify most of her body parts: eyes, nose, mouth, arms, feet, toes, etc... I can ask where she put her love for me and she would point to her heart. Yes, she does. It's always an amazing feeling when you see her after a day at work and she runs to you and give you the biggest hug ever. I guess now i understand that children are the best things in the world.
